After literally two hours on the phone with tech support who's only answers were "the coding is right, let's send another hit to the box, we'll have to send a technician to your house" I'm hoping one of the technical folks on here can give me some help.
I do not have the X1 system, waiting for self-install.
I had an anyroom DVR with two receivers, for a total of 3 STBs. I recently built a gym in my basement and two weeks ago went to the office to pick up a 3rd receiver, 4th STB.
Yesterday I receive a bill and saw that the new charges were listed as "AnyRoom DVR x2" "Additional Outlet x2".
I called comcast because they had the hardware listed incorrectly, but given the price that was listed, actually wouldn't mind having a DVR instead of a receiver as the 4th STB. I was told that would be fine, so I went back to the office and swapped the receiver for an Anyroom compatible DVR.
Now, the chaos begins. Without getting into the weird stuff I am seeing (recordings showing up on receivers, but not on the STB with the hard drive where there were stored, etc.)...
Could one of the technical folk confirm for me whether the non-X1 system can have to DVRs on the same anyroom network or not?
I'll have followup questions (if its possible, trying to make it work; if not possible, trying to just to get the 2nd dvr to see 1st dvr recordings even if 2nd dvr recordings can't go out to anyroom) but that's the basic question that comcast refuses to answer without a completely unnecessary truck roll.
