I'll start by currently saying that I do NOT have HD service, however for whatever reason one of my tuners does get the local HD channels. I do see occasional breakups and picture degradation on the HD channels, but not usually on the SD channels. My question here is if anyone knows whether there is any actual provisioning change with the HD packages or whether it is a billing change only. I'm trying to decide whether I should look into possibly having a bad line or whether to just leave well enough alone, especially if I decide that I really want to move to the HD package once the current offer is up.
I'll be honest and say I'm really not very happy with the picture quality of the SD channels either, and not because of the scaling either (color/brightness issues, etc). I'm not sure whether the DTAs just suck or if it's something else. And don't get me started on how Comcast decides to crop their SD channels...
