In an effort to save a few bucks, I recently signed a new two year contract with Comcast (we have triple-play). A few days later, my DVR box went on the fritz and stopped recording.
I went to the local Comcast office today to swap out the box, and while there inquired about switching to X1. After some searching, the CSR told me that it couldn't be done, as it would break my 24 month contract.
Am I now truly locked into the same equipment I have for the next two years? Is X1 considered new equipment, or a totally different package?
