Maybe this was answered or explained elsewhere. I couldn't find it if it was.
Recently live tv streaming has become available in my area on the X1 platform. After watching tv on the iPad yesterday I noticed my data usage skyrocket to over 19 GB for the day according to my Netgear traffic meter. On the Xfinity site this showed a figure close to this but it says what's shown could be delayed.
To test this, I reset the counter to zero and let it sit for about 10 minutes without actively using any internet anywhere. After these 10 minutes usage was around 5 MB. Started watching X1 live tv on the iPad and after 10 minutes of playing I consumed 240 MB again, according to the Netgear Traffic meter.
So, does anyone know how exactly live streaming works with X1? And how it's consuming data when on the Comcast site it says it doesn't count toward internet usage. Am I doing something wrong?
