[Comcast Equip] Do I Need A New Companion Box?

I am having some strange issues with my companion box. Main X1 DVR box works flawlessly (so far). The companion box looses audio several times a day. Only way to get it back is to unplug it from the AC source and plug it back in. Recordings stutter constantly. Unable to watch. Like there is no buffer. Reminds me of watching YouTube on dialup. The "last viewed" selection scrolls all the last viewed channels constantly without hitting any buttons on the remote. We have even turned the box and TV on first thing in the day and the last viewed channels are scrolling away, without even hitting any buttons on the remote other than to power the box on. Only way to stop it is to unplug from the power and plug back in. The "info" box that comes up at the bottom for a few seconds is laggy as hell, and sometimes gets stuck staying on. This companion box has a moca filter and somewhere an amp hooked to it. So can all this stuff be happening due to noise somewhere in line and the amp is amplifying it? This companion box is like half its processing power is missing it is so laggy reacting with buttons on the remote. Very very slow compared to the main DVR box. Any suggestions? -- Long you live and high you fly, and smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry, and all you touch and all you see, is all your life will ever be.
