Comcast tech replaced my STB with this Arris RNG150 box last week. Really happy with it as the guide showed many more days of listings than my old one. He also replaced my remote and made sure everything was worth it.
PROBLEM: Right in the middle of watching a show this morning (WGN, ch 15), "unable to process request. Please call Xfinity" popped up on the screen but I hadn't pressed anything. NO keys on my remote would clear it; none of the remote keys had any affect: volume, last, or the menu key. Channel changed to #17 and wouldn't budge.
Unplugged box; waited and plugged in. NO JOY. I can press the remote keys all I want but nothing responds on the STB. This has been going on for about 90 minutes.
Now I see there is a reported TV outage in my area. Does this sound related to the outage or to my new STB, please ? Recommended actions ? Thanks in advance.
