I have a few different questions.
HD-DTA rental is the same price as SD-DTA, correct?
Don't HD-STB's cost $10 a month (not the HD technology fee)? If so, why would the cost be so much different between an HD-STB and HD-DTA?

"For Limited Basic users Comcast is offering the first two DTAs for free and then charging $1.99 (plus taxes and fees) per DTA after the first two."
Is this still true? I have Limited Basic, one DTA and am paying for it.

[HD-DTA] "For those on higher-up plans it will require the addition of the HD Technology fee ($9.95) if it is not already on your account."

"There is no way to have an HD-DTA on a non-Limited service without having to pay the HD Tech Fee, because you will get ALL possible HD channels from your tier."
This is saying with anything above LB, if you get an HD-DTA, you have to pay the $10 HD tech fee. This doesn't make sense, since in other threads, people say the SD-DTA will eventually be phased out and replaced by the HD-DTA. If that's true, then according to the above, everyone above LB will be forced to pay the $10 HD tech fee. Or, is the above not true and above LB with an HD-DTA, you don't have to pay the HD tech fee unless you want local channels in HD.
My girlfriend has Digital Preferred, but only one HD STB, and three SD-DTA's. On the DTA's, she only gets a fraction of the channels she's paying for. From what I understand, an HD-DTA will only give her (by one person's account) about 4 more channels. Why do they not provide all the channels being paid for?
My parents have Expanded Basis. What advantages will an HD-DTA give them, without the HD fee, and with the fee. Without the fee, will it at least keep the sides of the picture from being cut off? They currently have an SD STB and a few SD-DTA's. The SD STB picture look terrible, as does of course the SD-DTA. Is the HD-DTA picture any better (if connected through HDMI), even without HD?
Do many people buy their own STB?
