[Rant] Comcast retention pulls bait and switch tactics

So I've had Comcast retention dept pull a bait and switch on me twice now. This is my updated review that explains what happened.quote:So Comcast FINALLY upgraded the speeds here and Blast is 150/10 However, Their customer service is now even worse even tho they've announced we're making it better. Call them on Saturday about HD Premier at 159.99 a month for 24 months I saw. The guy on the phone said Yes, You're able to get that offer with price lock at $159.99 a month for 24 months and agreed to it. About 6 hours later the contract shows up and it's 159.99 a month for 12 months and than 184.99 a month for the next 12 months after. WTF!? This is the 2nd time comcast has pulled a bait and switch on the phone and another call back results in "We're sorry the agent LIED to you on the phone. bla bla bla" When I told about the most recent bait and switch they said we can give it to you for 169.99 a month for 12 months with $10 off per month for the next 3 months. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! I accepted the offer thinking there is nothing they could do and than filed a complaint with we_can_help@cable.comcast.com and spoke to somebody on Monday. They said they would get back to me and see what they could do. Word of advise now. If you call them about your package and are offered a better package/contract/price lock/etc. be VERY CARFUL as you may very well be lied to on the phone with a bait and switch pulled to keep you as a customer and hope that you don't catch it. To it me is seems like the retention dept has been ordered to pull bait and switch tactics or employees are pulling this for commission or something.
