I own a piece of property which includes a private road. The power company has their lines on this property above ground and are planning on burying the lines. Comcast also has their lines there, but I don't know how much of it is above and below ground. I know that the tap is on a pole which I assume belongs to the power company. I'm fairly certain Comcast must be running at least part of their lines above ground on or between two poles, both on my property. When a large tree limb fell on the above ground lines between the two poles, it knocked out the power and the cable.
When the power company buries their lines, what are the chances that Comcast will also bury anything that is above ground? And is there any equipment that Comcast cannot bury which would need to remain in it's current location?
I can tell you that the power company had their lines there prior to 1986 and Comcast (or whoever was before them) installed their equipment there around 1990. I know that when the lines had to be replaced due to the tree limb, that was between 2010-2013.
I need to know this information ASAP. I'm trying to keep Comcast out of this for the time being, which is why I haven't contacted them to ask about it.
