If you are wondering why you cannot see anything in full 1080p on your nice modern flat screen tv, then here is part of the reason.
The Florida Executive Customer Relations Agent (initials C.H.) who contacted me about my FCC complaint about crappy Comcast service, needs to be trained in what services are offered and what the customers need to have to get them. Specifically, my agent does not know the difference in 1080i and 1080p.
Per a recent technician visit the ONLY cable box they have that lets you view in full 1080p is the X1 DVR box, all others will get you 1080i or less. I read a posting off their website stating that sometime in 2015 Comcast will start offering 4K UHD services, which still have not been seen in my area as of this post May 2016.
So if you are being charged for HD service, cannot view 1080p content and do not have the X1 box, file your FCC complaint and then make them give it to you for free.
