Back in june, I had a tech come to my house to remove equipment, since I don't have time to drive 40 minutes to the nearest Comcast office to return it in person since they are only open when I work of course...
tech did a good job, did it fast, gave me a printed out receipt with all the serial numbers returned time done all that stuff...
July bill comes... "unreturned equipment fee" wtf?! I didn't close my account I removed 3 devices, a STB, a DTA, and a cablecard... called up Comcast get a lame excuse "oh that's not what that means, we'll credit your account".... then there was pending credits on the account... ok, paid the bill that was due... next month.... the pending credits are still there never applied... the august bill shows up.... the equipment is still listed on the bill... now it says late charges... the best part is the bill due had the credits removed from it in the last month in the total amount due but they never on disappeared from pending credits on the site... so it was like they took the amount due at that time down by the pending credit amount, I paid what it said was due, but they never in the end gave me credit for it... so I ended up having an "unpaid balance" even though I paid what it said I was owed *scratches head*
well now in august I not only have a bill for the next month for the equipment I returned, I now have a late fee for not paying it the previous month even though they "Credited" me for it the previous month... great...
call again... they told me there was no equipment on the bill... told them that's impossible I have an eMTA and a single cablecard... they are confused... great another person that doesn't have a clue..... get forwarded to someone else they tell me the bill is in error and will "correct it"... ok finally this is done with...
now the bill for next months service comes yesterday..... now I owe then $325!!!!!!! ontop of my bill!!!!! for "unreturned equipment" again wtf.......
*rips out hair*
call them again...... tell them for the 3rd time this is not right, that I have a receipt for the equipment return and to fix it... the lady gives me a run around I have to argue about it, she tells me there is no equipment on my account besides the cablecard and emta, I have to tell her then why am I being billed for it?! she tells me she "fixed it" I told her I was told that multiple times already and it was never fixed... then she tells me I have to drive to the Comcast office to give them the receipt..... *screams* that was why I had a tech out in the first place was to avoid that place since I can't take off work to go there ugh....
I just told the lady put a note on my account that I am mailing a copy of the receipt to the billing office as proof I don't owe them a cent over my bill... she just said OK and hung up on me *hits head on desk multiple times*
I never had this much trouble with Comcast... usually things go great with them... returning equipment though.... ugh.....
