There's a box, with a cover, that is attached to the back of my house that has the cable connections inside of it. It's where the outside cable connects to the inside cable. All of it was installed around 1990.
In 2011, a tech removed the clip (or whatever it is) that keeps the cover of the box shut tight. Since then, I've had signal issues (tiling) three times after heavy rain. I remember having issues in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Each time, a tech would come out and cut and replace the connectors in that box. I remember thinking that at some point in time, there's not going to be any coax cable left to cut.
So now I'm having the same problems again following heavy rain about two weeks ago. Is there something the tech can do to prevent this from happening again? It's ridiculous. It's 2017, this stuff should be protected from water and condensation. I never had problems with these connectors between 1990-2012.
