The preview, which will run from Thursday, October 5, through Wednesday, October 11, will be offered by Armstrong, Altice, Comcast, Cox, Dish, Fidelity, Frontier, Grande, GVTC, Mid-Hudson Cable, Norwood Light Broadband, Verizon, RCN and Verizon. : The MLB Network, which offers around-the-clock baseball coverage, including live games, will air game one of the first round playoff series between the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday. Game two between the Cleveland Indians and the American League Wild Card game winner, either the New York Yankees or Minnesota Twins will start at 5 p.m. ET on Friday. (The Wild Card game will be played tonight.) Both games, which are MLB Network exclusives, will be offered nationwide as well as in the teams’ local markets without blackout restrictions. Pay TV providers usually include the MLB Network channel in sports tiers or other more expensive programming packages so the free preview will allow all customers of participating services to tune in.
