Hey all.. Haven't posted in a while but sharing some woes of comcast ;again! 6 days and over 3hrs of horrible phone support led a tech to my house for no service. 3 of my X1 companion boxes stopped working, while the main DVR continued. Intermittent loss of CDV and internet as well.
A decent tech who actually knew what they were doing came out and installed, according to him, 'a much better' powered amp outside for the main feed. Apparently the old amp we had previously was burned and black marks on it from other damage. This tech said the previous splitter was crammed to the point where the connectors were bent and hardly making a connection.
The new box just has a zip tie holding it closed so I'm going to take a look when I get home today. I'll upload pics too!
