Rather than buying pre-made cables, I have a generally made my own from decent RG6 (Belden 7915A) and Snap-N-Seal connectors. I used a simple compression tool with no issues:

This worked fine with the original SNS connectors I had, where the blue compression fitting was hooked to the connector, and you twisted it off and put it on the cable. After stripping the cable with the tool, you pushed the connector down by hand until the insulator was even with the bottom of the threaded section, then used the tool to compress the seal.
I was running out of the original connectors (SNS6) and bought some newer SNS ones (SNS1P6). It looks like the original plain SNS6 are no longer available. The SNS1P6 have the snapseal built in and non-removable. I cannot push these connectors down by hand. Luckily, I had just enough of the older ones to finish the changes I needed this time, along with a few pre-made cables that worked well enough.
Do some of the fancier cable tools also pull the connector down to the right point before compressing the seal? If so, is there a decent but low-cost one that is good enough for occasional use? Preferably available through Amazon, as I am building up a cart with a bunch of low-cost stuff anyways.
