[Cable Box] Is my cable box on it's death bed?

I have 4 rooms wired for cable in my house, but only have boxes/TVs hooked up in 3 of those rooms. Two of the boxes seem to be working normally, but one is giving me constant problems. All the boxes are SA Explorer 2200. The problem box started spontaneously rebooting about a week or so ago. At first, I thought it was from a possibly damaged coaxial cable, but after the box would reboot in the mornings it would be fine the rest of the day so I wasn't too bothered. But on Tuesday (9/17) it started rebooting in the morning before 9 am and continued until 3pm when it finally got a picture. But then it started spontaneously rebooting every couple hours. The next day, Wednesday, it just rebooted or cycled (?) all day long - it never got a picture or anything. I replaced the coaxial cable between the wall and the TV, but that didn't help. So I connected the box to another outlet and that didn't work either. So doesn't that mean that the box has something wrong with it and needs replacing? The error codes I got sometimes on that box were tr.07 and tr.09 and sometimes I 'd get those codes but there would be a colon instead of a period, and the dots of the colon would alternatingly flash. I don't think I've ever had a box go bad in my 23 years or so of having cable TV. The only time I recall having a problem with a box was during the mid '90s when my old SA analog box was receiving a very low signal and it basically "locked up" with two letters stuck in the display. A tech had to come out to fix the signal problem and swapped out the box. Anyway... I just wanted to check to see what others thought before I take the box in for a replacement. I'd hate to waste my time standing in line forever only to get home and have the same problem with a diferent box.
