I know existing customers don’t get the best deals, but I’ve been able to get double plays from Comcast fairly reliably. I’m just not sure they are that great a deal, especially with all the added fees.
For example I’m currently on a $129.99 Premiere Blast double play 24 month contract that expires in December. When I signed up that didn’t seem too bad for the Northeast area, but since then Comcast tacked on $15 worth of extra charges.
Anyhow, I chatted with Comcast and was told the same plan I have would now be $139.99 plus fees, so closer to $160. Considering I rarely watch premium channels besides HBO, I asked what the Select Performance double play plan would be and was told $99.99. Tacking on Blast to that (which I want) would be another $18 for a total of $117.99 and adding HBO would make that $132.99 plus fees. That just seems a lot higher than it should be considering the triple play plans are cheaper.
Any thoughts about this “deal”?
