A good case for having the Streaming App available. Woke up this morning to an unconnected cable box. Internet was still connected. Presented the problem on the screen and one of the suggestions was to check cables, etc as well as pulling plug for 10 seconds. Before that however I wanted to see if I could connect via the Streaming App on my Roku. Sure enough it worked. Was even able to view recorded content which I'm sure was something in the Cloud.
I then tried the Xfinity My Account App to see how much I could do via the App itself. Nothing. No connection was showing and a reboot signal would not work. So I ended up unplugging it. Of course it booted up fine and is working again. I suppose I could have simply hit the power button(XG1v3) early on but just wanted to see what else worked.
