So please forgive me if this is normal in Comcast land, but I’ve always had Time Warner Cable, DirecTV, and Wide Open West
Why is the lineup in Chicago all over the damn place? Like this lineup is not cohesive at all.. every other provider I’ve ever had at least attempted to properly group channels, and every 3-5yrs would do a “regroup” if necessary
On TWC/Spectrum sub-100 was like analog days whatever the local system had, and still auto mapped HD, and 100+ was a thoughtfully grouped national channel lineup that had gaps in the channel numbers to leave room for future growth. (My channel numbers would be the same in LA, NYC, OH, TX, etc)
Comcast here, my goodness I’ve got SD, HD, semi grouped national lineup somewhere, and a duplicate set in the 1000+ because they don’t want to upgrade the old iGuide boxes to a current version with auto HD
What in the hell is going on with the thought process behind this? I’m digging the X1 platform overall but this lack of organization is really killing the overall experience for me. The voice remote is cool, but sometimes I genuinely want to just look through the guide to find something and it’s just brain wrecking to do this on Comcast
