So checking status center on the xfinity website, it's saying 'An Xfinity Channels Outage has been reported in your area'. My area and address have been red on the outage map since yesterday with the message on the map saying: 'You may be experiencing a service issue. Your service should be restored soon. We apologize for any inconvenience'
Usually the outage type is listed with an estimated repair time, but this cryptic 'channels outage' has been going on and off for days. I've called Comcast and the phone support doesn't know what a channels outage means? And that they're not seeing any outages.
My X1 TV service seems OK although I've noticed the X1 guide has been acting up a bit with 'one moment please' messages a few times a day. Could the 'channels outage' relate to this? Does it have nothing to do with my internet service?
Anybody know what this type of outage is reporting?
