Okay, first let me say that you guys in this forum have been extremely helpful and I appreciate the help. :D
This time around before I posted my issue I did my due diligence and found this thread in the X-1 forums http://forums.comcast.com/t5/X1/Old-DVR-set-top-box-still-showing-up-in-apps-amp-recording/td-p/1910455 about people you have had defective (and other reasons) X1 boxes swapped out and replaced with new ones only to still have the old show up on their accounts.
I did my "dog chasing it's own tail" circus routine with Comcast customer service only to hit a brick wall. I have gone into the settings via my PC and changed the name of the old box with just an "X" and turned it off and set the new one as the default but that did not work. I am still seeing the old DVR recording shows on the TV when I call up "saved" on the new one.
Does anyone have any idea on how to get an old X1 deleted off the account? If I can avoid traveling to Danbury,CT to the service center to get this done that would be great.
I haven't posted this Comcast Direct as I wanted to see if I can find some answers here first. Once again thank you.
