Just thought I share my experience. I'm a current customer, but here how to do it.
How to get the X1 as a double play and how I did this.! First i'm from florida, fort myers and I originally was just on the blast promo and got the free speed increase to the extreme 105 for $39.99/12mo so now i'm on the X1 double play and I still have my free extreme 105
On the website it will show that you are able to get the X1 as double play if you are a new customer, but you are limited to these packages. This is for TV + Internet.
Starter XF Double Play @ 89.99/mo
Preferred XF Double Play @ 109.99/mo
Digital Premier with Performance Internet @ 129.99/mo
Will I picked the option 1 @ 89.99/mo just because it had what I wanted TV channel wise, was cheaper and there is still that HD charge for $9.95 so my goal was to keep everything under 100$ give or take tax of course. I was also able to keep my free extreme 105. Well what I did was I called into the resconserdation line at 888-266-2278 them follow the prompts to discontinue servicers or some services.
After your on the line tell them you would like a better deal and you saw the X1 as a double play online and would like that option instead. Make sure they add notes on the account to. PLEASE NOTE YOU REALLY DO NEED A TECH INSTALL, I learn this the hard way showing up in the store and they had to fix it along with some other things.. So MAKE SURE YOU GET A TECH appointment and confirm it with them and online I repeat you can't self install and no stores carry the X1 only the techs do. There is a $39.99 tech fee but that easy to waive via online chat
Also you should mention the FREE DOUBLING OF INTERNET SPEED to make sure you get that to.
Next make sure you repeat everything from top to bottom and then have them verify to you that you are indeed getting the X1 and all the services + prices, tech is coming out, etc, before you confirm everything.. After this enjoy.
My tech comes to install this wednesday around 1-3pm.
So for 89.99 + 9.95 + My free extreme 105 = $99.94 before tax im pretty happy :) I might call in and try to waive that HD fee.
