[Comcast Equip] New Xfinity Hook-up No Audio through Receiver

Xfinity X1(?) --> Yamaha RX-V467 --> Olevia 247FTHD TV = Video/No Audio Xfinity X1(?)--> Yamaha RX-V467 Pass-through (Standby Mode) --> Olevia 247FTHD TV = Video + Audio Scratching my head on this. Per Comcast advise replaced HDMI cables (multiple times), unplugged power and started devices in various orders still no luck. No problem going direct to TV with HDMI and then optical back but that results in only stereo audio. Other issue is box freezing overnight (while in standby mode on receiver) requiring reboot of box every time. Doesn't seem to happen so far with direct to TV connection.
