New update? New issues...

Once again issues are popping up after an "update". Woke up sunday to find all three boxes saying "welcome to the x1 experience". Evidently, the new x1 exerience includes not being able to record anything. The record button on the remote doesn't work, and the option to record doesn't appear on the screen. After calling they sent some signal or something that fixed it for only 1 box. I can understand that awful update that ruined the side menu and gave us the new look...but why are these "updates" constantly causing new problems? I've had 4 tech visits and at least 5 calls in the last 30 days. Will the next "update" switch everything to standard definition and require us to change channels by physically touching the box?
