About a week and a half ago, there was a power outage and our RNG200 never came back up (all channels TBA, no picture, no sound). Scheduled a tech appt. The next day, it was back online as normal. We kept the appt., and when the tech got here the signals were all good and it was working. He told us that in our area, there have been all kinds of issues with the RNG200 lately.
So, friday night, on demand wasn't working (which is not unusual, we just power cycle it to get it working). The same thing happened! This time, Saturday morning it was STILL not working. I contacted tech support and they sent signals, reset, etc... The usual stuff that results in...nothing.
So I get up this morning and the box is back to normal. It seems every time the power cycles on this thing, it's going to be a 1-2 day wait to be back up and running. Does this mean it's failing and eventually will not come back up?
So I was all set to swap the box out tomorrow, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with this box, and what alternative box they might be giving me? My area is Blairsville/Indiana, PA.
EDIT: so I guess what I'm asking is should I swap it out or stick with it in case what I get is even worse? Anyone else with an RNG200 with issues?
