For a some months now I've had lots of issues with two HD channels. No surprise they're close to each other in their real tuned frequency (not the virtual channel number).
One is at 63MHz and the other is 69MHz. They break up frequently, sometimes a bit better and sometimes quite a bit worse. These are the only two channels I have issues with.
On my main Motorola DVR both channels measure around 30dB for the SNR and are labeled FAIR. There are a bunch of correctable and uncorrectable errors as you might imagine.
On my second (bedroom) TV whatever the levels are, it's so bad that the cable box in there won't even try to display the channel, it just gives a "this channel will be available shortly" message.
I have one cable run coming into the apartment. This is then fed into a PCT brand balanced 3-way splitter that goes to the eMTA and Motorola DVR in the living room, and the 3rd port goes through the wall to the bedroom connected to a Pace RNG110. All cable is RG6, most of it is the stuff provided by Comcast when we had cable installed in mid-2008.
This has been fine for years (I added the bedroom TV run myself in late-2008), but in the last 6 months or so things have degraded for the two channels.
It's gotten to be effectively unwatchable so I finally started to poke around and look at the signal levels in the DVR's hidden menus, etc.
I already tried temporarily disconnecting the bedroom run, since I added that myself and perhaps that inadvertently caused a problem, it didn't help any.
I could use some advanced help/ideas on how to troubleshoot and possible fixes.
