I have decided to cut the cord with DirecTV and their constant price hikes (almost monthly even on contract). Also it will be cheaper to bundle with my existing Comcast internet and phone. Are there any big differences between X1 and the Genie system that I should be aware of? One main question I have is, will I be able to pause live and rewind live TV from all the boxes or just the main DVR? Also, if I decide to switch to Tivo and return the X1 DVR and boxes, will that be a problem with the contract?
