As the subject states, If there is a weather alert issued for the area, and you select the weather thingy in the control panel on X1 and select view alerts, a black box pops up (with no text, just blank black box), and stays there. You can not "exit" out of it...in fact you cant do anything no matter what button you push on the remote.
You have to turn the power off using the button on the box, then turn it back on. Then a screen comes up saying "connecting to live tv" (or something like that).
This only happens trying to review "alerts". Just viewing the weather and or "extended forecast" works fine.
For me, this has been going on for quite some time now, but if an alert is out, I bite the bullet and see if it is back to working on the X1.
At one time, don't remember how long ago, but at least 3/4 of a year if not more, it used to work.
Hope someone at Comcast sees this (jlivingood :) ) and can have someone look into it.
