I have an ARRIS TG862G for Comcast internet and phone, works fine. Then, I also currently have DISH for TV, which for various reasons makes me want to go Xfinity/Comcast. But, two good things about the Dish Hopper are that it accepts Windows 7 DLNA saved local media via either WiFi or ethernet and pipes it to my old non-smart TV... AND it emits bluetooth for wireless headphones. If you wonder about this "local media", I have a couple of thousand photos, same number of mp3 music files, and hundreds of mp4 videos on my PC hard drive. DLNA to the Hopper works, and I'd hate to give it up. I don't really care about the bluetooth factor per se, I could buy RF headphones, or at worst buy an audio extension cord for my old 90s-era wired headphones hooked to my HTR. But when using headphones I want the main audio in the room muted, which works with the Hopper.
I've yet to get an authoritative answer from CC about how these two things can be made to work, or not.
