Here's my situation, I live in an apartment (one outlet) and subscribe to Digital Starter. With my promo package, 1 HD non-DVR box, $10 HD fee, and assorted BS fees, I am paying over $80. Minneapolis/St.Paul market if that matters
I only have TV service, as I'm lucky enough to have fiber internet elsewhere, as well as Ooma home phone. So I don't need to piss money bundling additional services.
I also have a SiliconDust HDPrime unit and an older HTPC that is just collecting dust. While I like the ease of VOD and having the Channel Guide, it's not a deal breaker.
The question I have, If I return the HD STB, and get a CableCARD and T/A, can I get rid of this BS HD fee?
