I was surprised to hear from Comcast that they will be adding another $1.50 to my bill each month to recover their expenses in paying for many of the wonderful channels I don't watch. While they are free to do whatever they want to for new customers and customers not under contract, I don't think it's fair for them to add this one year into a two-year contract. I don't have the option of switching without paying an early-termination fee. And what if the $1.50 fee were $200 a month.... where does it stop? I have reported this issue to my local franchising authority but I doubt they will be able to do anything. And it's about principle.... not a lot of money but really where does the nickel and diming stop? I read that there is a class action lawsuit for new customers alleging that this fee was not appropriately disclosed. I think there should be a class-action lawsuit for customers stuck with them under contract.
